During the process of the factory manufacturing the edge-secured conveyor belt and roughing the base belt, some high-temperature dust and powder will be generated. If these high-temperature dust and powder enter the dust collector, it may cause the internal bag filter to catch fire, resulting in greater losses. To solve this safety issue, it is necessary to cool the dust at the front stage of the dust collector. Through practice, the following cooling methods are currently available:
1. Mixing with cold air cooling method
Install a three-way pipe at the inlet of the dust collector. The outside air can enter the pipe and mix with the high-temperature dust and smoke gas, thereby reducing the temperature of the high-temperature dust and smoke gas.
2. Installing a cold air valve
At the front end of the dust collector, before the high-temperature dust is sucked into the dust collector, add a cold air valve device. The cold air valve is a regulating butterfly valve. One end is connected to the dust collection pipeline, and the other end is connected to the outside atmosphere. The regulating valve is operated by an automatic high-temperature signal. Through the front-stage high-temperature or spark detection device, the air volume of the suction duct system is controlled, so that the temperature of the dust and smoke gas is reduced, and it is within the range that the filter cartridge dust collector can withstand.
3. Spray cooling method
Form a fine mist of water through the nozzle and spray it into the high-temperature dust and smoke gas. The water mist evaporates and absorbs a large amount of heat, causing the smoke gas to cool down.
At present, the first two methods are more widely used, with fast cooling speed and convenient operation. However, they will increase the amount of dust and smoke gas, and the equipment volume and filtration area need to be increased and improved. The spray method will increase the moisture content of the dust, causing the smoke gas to condense and endanger the filter cartridge, and it is not easy to clean.
